Gabe Vasquez grew up in New Mexico’s borderlands, where he learned the value of hard work from his mother. He worked his way through college, helped build a local small business, and served on the Las Cruces City Council before being elected to Congress. In Congress, Gabe has put partisanship aside to do what’s right, working to keep rural hospitals funded and cap the price of insulin at $35, fund 22,000 Customs and Border Protection agents to make our communities safer, and get his bipartisan bill to combat wildfires signed into law by President Trump.
Gabe has never been afraid to stand up to leaders of either party. He was one of just four Democrats to vote for a bill investing in New Mexico’s military bases and servicemen and women, and he led the successful fight to prevent Trump from selling off millions of acres of our public lands. Gabe always puts New Mexico first.
Over the last four years, Gabe has fought for every constituent – from Zuni Pueblo to Jal and every community in between – and delivered on the issues important to them. Together, we will send him back to Congress to continue fighting for us.
